Career PathCenter is operated by OliveTreeBranchCoaching & Consulting LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email support@otbcc.com.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: first name, email address, and password used to create your account.
• Path inputs: career starting point, goal, and other information you provide to generate paths.
• Student verification (optional): full name, school, and class year if you elect student pricing. Your student ID image and front-facing headshot photo are used only to confirm eligibility (including an automated check that the headshot contains a face) and are deleted immediately after verification — we store only an "ID verified" flag.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: pages viewed, actions taken, and basic device/browser information.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To generate personalized career paths and recommendations.
• To process payments and manage your account.
• To send transactional and, with your consent, informational emails (reports, assessments, reminders, notifications).
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

3. AI Processing

Paths are generated by third-party AI models. The career starting point, goal, and any context you enter are sent to our AI provider to produce your path. Do not enter sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, health, or financial details) in path inputs or in the Coach Olivia chat. AI output is informational only and may be inaccurate.

Where the Service is shown in a language other than English, interface text, legal notices, FAQ content, and AI-generated content are translated automatically by machine translation and AI systems. AI translations are not certified, may be inaccurate, incomplete, or lose nuance, and should not be relied upon for legal, financial, medical, immigration, or licensing decisions. The English version of this Privacy Policy is the authoritative version and controls in the event of any discrepancy. Text you submit may be sent to AI providers for translation as well as generation.

4. Cookies, Local Storage & Analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, secure the session, remember your language choice, record that you dismissed the cookie notice, and remember your in-progress path selections. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

Specifically, the following categories are stored on your device or collected automatically:

• Authentication (necessary): session and refresh tokens issued by our authentication provider so you stay signed in.
• Preferences (necessary): selected language, cookie-notice acknowledgement, and saved starting point / end goal selections.
• Aggregate analytics: our hosting platform records basic, aggregated traffic information such as page views, referrer, approximate country, browser type, and timestamps. This is used only to understand overall usage and keep the Service reliable. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
• Security & operational logs: IP address and request metadata retained for a limited period to detect abuse and diagnose errors.

You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time, but sign-in and saved selections will not work without them. We do not currently run third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking scripts; if that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (cloud hosting and database, payment processing via Stripe, AI model providers, and email delivery), and when required by law.

6. Third-Party Sites and Coaching Providers

The Service may link to independent third-party websites or coaching providers, including coaching services offered separately by OliveTreeBranchCoaching & Consulting LLC or others. Coaching engagements are separate from the Service and governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and path information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Student ID images and headshot photos are deleted immediately after your student status is verified. We do not retain, archive, or display the image; we keep only your name, school, class year, and an "ID verified" flag. Administrators never have access to the image. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@otbcc.com.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and checks against known breached-password lists at sign-up. No system is 100% secure. Report a security concern to support@otbcc.com.

9. Your Choices & Rights

• You can update or delete your account information at any time.
• You can opt out of non-essential emails via the unsubscribe link or account settings.
• You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing us.
• Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK, California), you may have additional rights; we honor verified requests and do not discriminate for exercising them.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
